Scorpio is considered a "feminine", negative (introverted) sign. It is also considered a water sign and one of the four fixed signs. Traditionally, the planet Mars has been considered to be the ruler of Scorpio. Also, since its discovery, Pluto has been considered a modern ruler of this sign. As the eighth sign in the zodiac, Scorpio is associated with the astrological eighth house. Scorpio is the most intensive, obsessive and turbulent sign in the zodiac. Scorpio is a sign of extreme emotions, but is also highly private and secretive. It reflects a personality with strong obsessive elements, often having difficulty controlling its emotions. This also brings a whimsical element into it. There's usually much sexual content in Scorpio characteristics, sexuality is usually quite important here. Some of these natives however may find themselves in poor, faded relationships which do not fulfill their needs, as they really don't like to break personal associations. They create very strong emotional bonds which are very hard to undo.
