Giving Roses

How To Give The Best Flowers

Giving RosesRoses say a lot about the giver. I love giving flowers as long as they have a lot of good smell to them. I don't like them if they don't smell good because that is one of the most important things to giving flowers - the have to smell good!

What is the first thing a woman does when you give her flowers?

She smells them!

RosesIf you want to get the maximum smiles from giving flowers, make sure they smell good. Sometimes they have a little smell at the florist but then you get them home and nothing.

You hope that maybe they will open up and smell good, but usually they don't do much of anything. They also don't seem to last very long.

This prompted me to do some digging and I came up with the following information on how to find the good flowers and make them last once you get them home. I figure if you're going to spend the money and give flowers, you should be able to enjoy them for as long as possible.

Start Here...

Find a good florist before you need one. They are not all the same. In my area there are 350+ businesses listed under florist in the phone book. Many of these listings are close to home but I don't mind a drive across town to get to my favorites.

I know my favorite places only sell quality flowers that smell good and that makes it worth the drive. Yes, I do go out of my way to get them but I don't give lousy flowers. I won't. Find a florist who sells the good stuff or it will look like you stopped at the corner gas station on your way to your date.

To find a good florist you can ask people you know where they go, or you can visit florists and do some research. See what they have to offer. Check their hours. Smell the flowers. See how helpful and friendly the staff is or isn't.

If you like them program their number in your phone so you always have that resource at your fingertips. This is a resource you will most likely use the rest of your life. Seriously. I have two florists in my cell phone, one is my preferred florist and the other is just in case. I would gladly purchase from either of these florists because they always make sure I give good flowers.

Always give good flowers!
