Romantic Barbados Getaway"Authentic Caribbean"Romantic Barbados Getaway - I first visited Barbados in the 70s as a child on a family trip. I fell in love with the island, the people, the music, the food, the weather, the atmosphere... I loved everything about Barbados. I've never felt more at home any other place in the world.  Before my wife and I were married (1997) we made a list of things to do - going to Barbados together was on the list. Maybe three years later (2000) we happened to find a great price on a romantic Barbados getaway package and we jumped at the chance to go.We loved being there so much we returned to the island a couple years later (2002) to get married overlooking the same beach and the Caribbean Sea. We still go back to that same resort every time we go, returning as often as possible to celebrate our anniversary, to relax, and to recharge. Relaxation, Recreation, and Romance...Barbados is a very romantic getaway destination I recommend everyone explore. You'll find many reasons to keep going back. We've been there 6 times and have plans to return as soon as possible. Barbados has many all-inclusive resorts and "do it yourself" vacation options as well. We go to a resort that has a great romantic getaway package that includes room, breakfast every day, an island tour, a catamaran cruise, a dinner show, a welcome gift (a bottle of island rum) and other extras. This takes most of the decision making out of the vacation and allows us to truly relax and enjoy ourselves. A few pictures from one of our Barbados getaways
