Pickup LinesAre You Flirting With Me?There are many, many pickup lines out there, and the simple truth is that most of them don't work. Sure, maybe that corny line you used got a smile or a laugh, but you still went home alone, didn't you?! If you really want to attract someone you need to know how to use the right line at the right time. If all you're interested in is getting a smile or a laugh or appearing clownish then by all means keep using lame pickup lines. Seriously though, why keep playing that game every weekend, using bad lines hoping to pick someone up and striking out more often than not? There Is A Better Way!  For the ladies (in general) you can get by with just a smile. The sad truth is, there are lots and lots of men out there believe that any woman who even looks at them wants them.I promise you, if you're interested in a guy give him a smile and unless he's totally lame he will notice. If he doesn't have the stones to approach you and say hello you've got to at least consider that he may not be the one. Also, you just never know what's going on inside his head so that smile may not be for him no matter how much you want it to be. This does not mean that ladies can't use pickup lines. If you really want to see if he can think on his toes, throw an unexpected line at him that will challenge his ability to reason and quite possibly leave him speechless. All in fun of course. For the guys, you should understand that not every woman who smiles at you wants you, but you've got to at least have the stones to approach her and find out. If you're waiting for her to make the first move (scared, eh?) that smile she gave you IS the first move. Now it's up to you to muster all your courage, face the fear of rejection, and go say hello. Oh, and speaking of rejection, I know it sounds easy to say but not so easy to do, but you don't need to fear rejection. Rejection is more about them than it is about you. Seriously, unless you're Quasimodo (and even he got a girl) if she blows you off she is probably looking for something else in a man so why fight it? Ladies, same thing, if he isn't interested he obviously doesn't know a good thing when he sees it so move on and find someone with better eyesight. What To Say and When To Say It  Pickup lines are meant to be playful and fun. As far as I'm concerned the best pickup line is "hi" delivered with a smile. I've never gone out of my way to try and get someone to be friendly. If they aren't friendly and open to a simple hello I'm not interested.Think of the pickup line as a flirty ice breaker. Use it to "open their eyes" to you. After that it truly is up to you to go from there but at least you have their attention. My thinking is to keep it simple and unique. If you say the same thing a dozen other people have said that night it has a much less chance of getting their attention than if you say something unique and even a little off the wall. Some people also recommend using props as points of conversation. Unique jewelry, clothing items, hats, and other interesting items get peoples attention and give you something to talk about while you get comfortable with that new guy or girl. Who doesn't like puppies and kittens?! Side note: there are all types of people in this world. What doesn't work for me might be just what you're looking for. O.K. you can kiss me later, but don’t tell anybody.
