Fall Date Ideas
Romance is in the air with these 10 romantic, fun, creative, and low cost date ideas for Autumn
Fall date ideas mean it's almost time to put away the beach towels and get out your favorite snuggling blanket. As the weather gets cooler here in West Michigan there are many seasonal activities gearing up for cool weather fun, indoors and out. Now is the time to set your sights on taking advantage of the season.
No matter where you are, if Autumn is just around the corner so are the romantic fall date opportunities. Many of these fall date ideas are unique to the season, and some become unique because of the season.
Autumn brings with it special ways people celebrate the end of summer, the harvest, the cooler weather, the kids going back to school, or the special holidays of the season.
It's time to pack up the beach toys and blankets and get out a light jacket and maybe that soft, cozy fleece blanket that will surely come in handy as you celebrate the season together. Here are 10 awesome fall date ideas you can plan or enjoy right now.
Fall Date Ideas 10 Awesome Ideas For Autumn Romance
♥ Wine Tasting romantic, fun, creative, low cost
Wine tasting is a good time any time, and now is the perfect time to get out there to have a taste. During the harvest you'll find wine tasting is especially fun and festive. There are wine and harvest festivals happening now, plus special wine tasting events that combine wine with food, fun, and cooking as wineries show off their latest selections.
This is great fun for singles and couples. My wife and I just went to a local wine tasting that offered samples of 6 local wines for $5 plus we got souvenir glasses to keep. If we bring our glasses back with us the next time we go the wine tasting is free.
♥ Hay Rides / Corn Maze / Pumpkin Patch romantic, fun, creative, low cost
Enjoy a hay ride, corn maze, or visit a pumpkin patch together You and your date can sit back and enjoy a hay ride around a farm, or have fun finding your way around a corn maze.
While you're there stroll through the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins for carving, cooking, or decoration. Why wait until they come to your local market - get out there and pick your own together.
♥ Farmers Markets fun, creative, low cost
There is still time to enjoy the late summer harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables at a local farmers market.
If you like fruits and veggies you'll find the flavor is always best when it's fresh from the farm. Take a date and pick your favorites to share and enjoy, maybe even later that night as you cook together
♥ Fall Color Tours romantic, fun, creative
It may be too soon to go now, but if you plan ahead you'll be ready when the weatherman tells you it is almost time for peak colors. Many fall color tours can be found on trains, self-driving tours, or as part of a romantic getaway package. This is one of my favorite fall date ideas.
♥ Take a Walk romantic, fun, low cost
Now is the perfect time to head to the park, nature area, lake shore, or anyplace you and a date can enjoy the early signs of the changing seasons. Labor day usually marks the end of summer in the USA, but you can still enjoy many summer time locations that are now much calmer and quieter.
♥ Romantic Weekend Getaway romantic, fun, creative
Share a romantic weekend getaway Combine a weekend getaway with a fall color tour or just take advantage of off-season rates at a romantic bed & breakfast or hotel gearing down from the summer season.
For lower than low rates, check on last minute getaways and excursions that will soon be closed until next Spring.
Outdoor lovers can still get in an end of season camping trip with cooler nights that call for staying warm by the fire or warming up by other means. Hint, hint.
♥ Have a Picnic romantic, fun, creative, low cost
I think this is a good idea any season, even in winter. With the availability of hot foods for take-out you can enjoy a variety of cuisines and have a little more elbow room as people clear out of the parks and head back to school and back inside.
♥ Seasonal Festivals fun, low cost
There are still plenty of end of summer / start of fall festivals to enjoy. Look for harvest and autumn festivals and make a day of enjoying the best of the season with someone special.

Now that the summer air has cooled and there are spectacular views of the autumn leaves, a hot air balloon ride may be just the fall date idea you're looking for. The first week in October you can enjoy the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico - or discover hot air ballooning closer to home with a friend.
♥ Pick Your Own fun, low cost
You can enjoy a fun afternoon with a friend or lover picking your own fruits and vegetables at a local farm. If you're in a giving mood you might also consider donating some or all of what you pick to a local food pantry.
The Most Important Part of This
The most important element to your successful fall date ideas is you and what you bring to it. If you focus on having fun, feeling romantic, or just making the most of some free time together, you can make the most of any date idea.
It won't matter what you do or how much you spend. This is the time to leave all your problems at the door and enjoy each others company. Your dates will always be as romantic and fun as you decide to make it, so make it romantic and fun no matter what.
Find Your Local Fall Date Ideas
To find out what's happening and available in your area, add the name of your town, city, or state to one of these date ideas: wine tasting, hay rides, corn maze, pumpkin patch, farmers market, fall colors, fall tours, weekend getaway, last minute getaway, romantic getaway, festivals, pick you own
For example: If you live in Kalamazoo, Michigan and want to find fall date ideas that include wine tasting, search kalamazoo michigan wine tasting for a selection of wineries in your local area offering wine tasting.
