Date NightYou've been waiting all week for this. Tonight you're going to go out and have some fun together, just the two of you. If you've got kids you get a sitter. If you've got worries (who doesn't) you set them aside for the night and let loose. Tonight is your night and you want to make the most of what may be very precious time that is hard to come by.  What to do tonight?!The list of ideas is endless. What you do depends on the type of date night you want to share. Are you feeling like an intimate, romantic evening, just the two of you? Would you rather feel a rush of adrenaline as you share something fun and exciting?! Maybe you're low on cash but still need to enjoy some together time? The most important thing is that you make time to do something together.
Anytime you see or hear about something you'd like to try or you think your partner would enjoy add it to the list. Then, after a rough Monday at work make a date for Friday and compare your lists. Take turns picking something from each others list. Make a plan Date night can be once a week, once a month, or whenever you want, but here's a tip... if you don't plan it you probably won't do it. This isn't about "hey, wanna do something?" when you're bored. Make a plan, pick a day, pick something to do - even if that means throwing a dart at a list of choices - and do something together. Schedule it. This is your night. Been There, Done That! Here's a partial list of the nights out I've shared with my wife over the years. I still "ask her out" even though we've been married for over seven years! We attended some very fun wine tastings and developed a love of good wine We love to laugh our heads off at a comedy club - highly recommended We've enjoyed geocaching on warm summer nights We love music, so drinks and live music is a great night out We don't go to movies too often but we enjoy them when we can Dinner and a movie. Can't go wrong with this. Dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant An evening at a drive-in movie. Romantic and fun! Live concerts (The Eagles were awesome!) Sporting events - hockey, football, baseball Paint your own pottery - we still use what we made together Plays and musicals - we love to be entertained Star gazing Walks around the neighborhood View holiday lights We enjoy watch the sun sets Watch movies at home
