Bowling

A Fun First Date Idea!

Bowling is easily a fun date idea for people of all ages and all skill levels. Automatic scoring makes it easy to enjoy the game and your company. With something like 7,000 centers in the USA you will probably find it in your area. You don't have to be good at it to have fun. All you have to do is go have fun.

Romantic Date IdeaAs a sport, it has more registered dues-paying participants than any other sport. More men and women worldwide enjoy this more than any other sport, with the possible exception of football (soccer in the USA and Canada). There are 95 million bowlers in more than 90 countries worldwide. That's a lot of balls!

You'll most likely find Ten-pin (big ball) in America. You can also find Candle pin (small ball with straight pins that look like candles) and maybe also Duck pin (small ball and pins that look like a duck) on the East Coast where I grew up. In other countries you may also find 9-pin which is something I'd love to try. 9 pins on strings with a small ball. Interesting!

More than just rolling a ball...

As a fun date idea, you will have a great time no matter how good you are and no matter how good you are not. Like me. Many centers (like the one I go to) also feature sport bars (ours has 2), a full service restaurant, big screen televisions, pool tables, video games, and a room for poker players. Our local center also serves a Sunday brunch buffet and it's right next door to a game center with miniature golf, go-carts, laser tag, and more.

This can also qualify as an inexpensive date idea. Here we pay $3 for the shoes and $2 to $4 per game per person, depending on the day and time. Under ten bucks for a couple games and shoes. That leaves enough cash to hang out after you bowl and have a beer or two.

Sounds like a good date to me!
