To Have A "Romantic" Website About me... isn't it funny when you ask people to tell a little something about themselves, most have no idea what to say?! I know this much, if you and I were friends I'm probably the last person you'd expect to have a "romantic" website. At the same time, if you and I were friends you'd also know how perfectly this fits me. My name is Alan Grant and I created Romantic-Date-Idea.com
Just knowing my wife is somewhere in the house feels different than when she isn't in the house. It's comfortable. If you are married or in a relationship I bet you know what I'm talking about. Unpredictably Predictable? Since most people believe romance is about the unpredictable "just because" of loving someone I'm probably the last person you'd expect to have a site like this. I'm the guy who orders the same thing at the restaurant because I know what I'm going to get. I'm also the guy who likes to vacation in the same place year after year because I know that is where I'm going to relax and enjoy myself. At the same time I am very much an adventurous explorer who loves to strike out (often alone) to discover new people, new places, and new experiences. I love trying new foods. I love traveling and exploring new places. I love to meet people and make new friends. I love going for walks alone in the woods. I am a quiet and laid back person who sometimes won't shut up. The fact is, you never know what you're going to get and you might not always like it but it will always be the authentic me. Mr Unpredictably Predictable. It just goes to show, you really can't judge a book by it's cover. So, after years of being unpredictably predictable and finding ideas to be occasionally romantic, the ideas have added up. They aren't all original or unusual. In fact, if you look around online you will see a whole lot of the same thing when it comes to romantic ideas. My Real Life Experiences As you read through the date ideas on this site, my real life experiences, you will see that I believe it isn't the idea that makes a date special. It is you and what you put into it. That's the secret to good romantic ideas. You. By sharing my experiences I hope to show you what you can do with the same old ideas. Dinner and a movie becomes a candle lit picnic in the park at night and finding out you don't like silent movies but had a blast discovering it with someone you care about. A boring afternoon with nothing to do becomes a free spirited playtime in the park with lots of "I haven't done this in a long time" follow by star gazing and snuggling under a blanket. The idea here is to get your creative juices flowing and help you to put yourself into making memories. Romantic date ideas don't have to happen all the time, but when they do you can make them memorable, something you will talk about for years if not forever. When you add you, that special secret ingredient to any date idea, you make it like no other can. Oh, and for the record here's a little more about me... I'm married, 49 years old and looking forward to 50, and live with my wife and 2 cats in Michigan. We like to camp, travel, watch hockey, and enjoy the outdoors as much as we can.
